Snakes and stones
I’ve spent the past few weeks working on a large snake necklace and some pendants to wear with it. I’m going to Sydney at the end of November for an Air Supply concert and the only decision I have yet to make is…which pendant should I wear?

Honey Myrtle Bangle
I’ve spent many hours over the past few weeks working to capture the stunning detail in the honey myrtle’s branches, just as the spring shoots (that will grow into leaves) begin to emerge, and I’m very pleased with the result.

2022 Spring Show Win
I am honoured to have won first prize in the JEM MFA category of the 2022 Academy of Art University’s Spring Show for my body of work which includes Whispering Crow, my wearable shoulder crow, and my Four Element series.

Modern moonscape
Inspired by a solitary walk on the eve of a full moon, this ladies ring uses texture and an elevated tube spacer rivet to create an abstract silver moonscape.

Hand carved sterling silver bracelet
Hand carving silver is a wonderful exercise in patience and mindfulness. It epitomises everything that is great about the ‘slow handmade’ movement. It takes a lot of care, time and effort, but the end result is worth it.

Signature men’s ring
This is a bold statement piece that attracts attention for all the right reasons. I hear it’s making quite a splash for the handsome gent who received it in his Christmas stocking.

Architectural Men’s Dress Ring
I have a few different angular creations underway at the moment. For today, I’m sharing a gorgeous, architectural men’s ring that I’ve just finished. This baby makes a serious statement. It’s substantial and dramatic, but not too heavy. Fabricated in sterling silver with a black onyx gemstone, it features a rivetted spy hole that adds visual interest and makes me smile.

Wearable Sculpture
The second creation in my crow sculpture series. Whispering Crow is a wearable sculpture that speaks to the quiet voice of nature that whispers rather than shouts.

Crow Sculpture
I’ve been working on a series of crow sculptures, inspired by the beautiful crows that circle sometimes when I’m out on my morning run.

Cresting Wave
It's been a cold and wet Canberra winter. I usually escape to the coast for a few days in July for a touch of warmth, but I've stayed put this year due to covid. Instead, I brought the beach to me…

Crows flying through storm clouds
I was running - well, squelching, actually - along soggy trails this week, trying not to slip or trip on the wet, slippery ground, when I looked up and saw three crows flying in formation through the dark storm clouds ahead of me. Those majestic birds inspired this cuff.

Asymmetrical Cuff
It gave me great joy to make this beautiful cuff for a beautiful woman. That’s the only symmetrical thing in this story. The rest is all improvisation and glorious asymmetry.

Escape to the sea
It’s given me real joy, with the cold sting in the air, to transport myself - in mind, at least - to the seaside to create these lovely hand-sculpted pieces.

Red agate ring
I’ve had this red agate stone in my collection for a few years now, just waiting for the right project to come along. At last it did.

Eucalyptus leaf pendant
Sometimes things just fall at your feet. That happened this week when I was out for an early morning run. A Eucalyptus leaf drifted down from the bush canopy and fell in front on me, clipping my face on its way past.

Preserving precious memories
Three years ago, I spent a frantic Easter preparing for my eldest daugher’s wedding. It was a rustic wedding with the reception held in a country village hall.

Ring of Valour
My lovely step-mum commissioned me to make a signature ring for my Dad’s birthday today…

Lights, cameras, action
I’ve spent some time over the past few weeks designing a light collar accessory for a runway project.

Let there be light
It seems fitting, in early 2021, to be thinking about bringing more light to the world, but I have to admit, my motivations this week have been more visceral.
I’ve always loved fairy lights, and I’ve spent some delightful hours playing with light, metal and textiles to create unusual and beautiful pieces.
