Escape to the sea
We’ve had an unusually long autumn in Canberra this year, spoilt by the long (almost) warm, sunny days. But nothing lasts forever and a massive cold front has blown in the first real bite of winter over the past few days. And bite it certainly has!
It’s given me real joy, with the cold sting in the air, to transport myself - in mind, at least - to the seaside to create these lovely hand-sculpted pieces.
Made from paua shell and recycled silver, these sculptured pieces are wending their way to their new home as I write, delivering a touch of summer and churning sea to brighten a wintry day.
