Cresting Wave

Bennett_Midterm_7_2_1.1.jpg

It's been a cold and wet Canberra winter. I usually escape to the coast for a few days in July for a touch of warmth, but I've stayed put this year due to covid. Instead, I brought the beach to me. I created this neckpiece in copper, added the gorgeous patina that copper does so brilliantly, and included just a touch of seaweed to make it real. I've called this piece 'Cresting Wave', but in my head it's 'As close as I'm getting to Kiama this year'.
