Seed Pod Pendant

A$185.00

Hand sculpted and cast in sterling silver, this seed pod pendant is hand polished and finished with an antique patina.

I collect interesting twigs, seeds and grasses that I find on the patch of land where I keep my horses, and I use these as inspiration in my work. The long drop in this pendant is hand sculpted to replicate the shape of a long seed pod that I found on a bitterly cold, frosty morning. The pod had withered at the end of summer and was still attached to the plant which had died at the end of its growing season. The shapes and textures were so interesting that I felt compelled to commemorate it here. I added a beautiful sphere to round out the design and draw attention to the stunning seed pod.
