Crow's Feather Earrings

A$125.00

Hand sculpted and cast sterling silver crow’s feathers with an antique patina. Hand finished with a burnished surface and darkened recesses to emphasise the intricate details.

Created from a found feather from a neighbourhood crow. I was out running early in the morning and I saw a crow having a squabble with a magpie over nesting territory. There was a lot of flapping, but neither of the birds was harmed. While the crow was flapping and trying to scare the magpie away, a couple of feathers fell from the base of its tail. It fell - almost literally - into my lap and was the inspiration for this pendant, which is sculpted to the exact size and markings of the original crow feather.
